Roscoe Trustees show their appreciation to Public Works Department

Village of Roscoe Trustees stopped by the Public Works Department on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 to say thank you to the crew for their hard work and dedication to the Roscoe Community. Sharon Sima, wife of Trustee Mike Sima presented the workers with homemade (still warm) chocolate chip cookies. May 19 through 23 was Public Works Week. The Public Works Department employees are the caretakers of the village. Among their responsibilities are maintaining the bike paths, parks, and playground equipment, weed and mosquito control, plowing snow during the winter months and much more.
Troy Taylor is the department head. Troy coordinates and works with village personnel to make sure everything runs smoothly. Troy has been Public Works Director for six years. "We have eight full-time and three part time employees." During the winter months, temporary workers are hired.
