Roscoe Township Republicans win election over Roscoe Independents
It soon became clear that Bob Nowicki received more votes than challenger Dawn Cassady.


After polls closed at Cross and Crown Lutheran Church and Life Church in Roscoe at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, the posted vote tallies showed incumbent Roscoe Township Supervisor Bob Nowicki had received more votes than Independent challenger Dawn Cassady. Other candidates of Roscoe Republicans were winning by similar margins. Unofficial results were not available from all precincts until 10:20 p.m.
One of the most contested territories on the ballot, the Roscoe Township election had two slates: Roscoe Independents and Roscoe Township Republicans. Despite rumors on social media, all the Roscoe Independents except Trustee Elizabeth Lindquist were Republicans. Bob Nowicki, head of the Republican ticket this election, was head of the Independents ticket last election A major point of contention: the cost of the multi-purpose pavilion at Founders Park.
