Roscoe Lions raffle brings big prizes and bigger community impact to this year’s Fall Festival

The Roscoe Lions Club is turning up the excitement for this year’s Roscoe Lions Fall Festival with its annual community raffle — a hometown tradition that mixes festival fun with meaningful support for the Lions’ year‑round service work. Residents have been picking up tickets at familiar neighborhood stops, hoping their number will be one of the lucky ones drawn on Sunday, September 13 at 7 p.m., right as the festival winds down for the night.

This year’s raffle features : $3,000 cash grand prize, $1,500 for second place, $1,000 for third, plus ten additional $50 cash prizes. With 5,000 chances available, the raffle has quickly become a talking point around town — especially since you do not need to be present to win.

Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20, making it an easy way for residents to support the Lions’ mission while taking a shot at a major festival‑night payout. Tickets can be purchased by contacting the club directly at roscoelionsclub@gmail.com, or by stopping into one of several local businesses helping sell them: Sophia’s Restaurant, Jim Blevins State Farm, Roscoe Pack & Mail, Poison Ivy Bar, Firehouse Pub, and Sugar Britches Old Fashioned Candy Store.

While the raffle brings plenty of excitement, its purpose remains rooted in service. Proceeds help fund the Lions’ local projects — from vision assistance and youth programs to community support initiatives that quietly strengthen Roscoe throughout the year. The club notes that raffle purchases are not deductible as a charitable contribution, but every dollar still goes right back into helping neighbors.

For the Lions, the raffle is more than a fundraiser. It’s a way to bring the community together, spotlight local partners, and keep the spirit of service at the heart of the festival.
