Roscoe families enjoy National Night Out
National Night Out: neighbors in uniform, hot dogs, ice cream, music, and games
Main Street in downtown Roscoe was closed to traffic for a few hours on Tuesday, August 3. From 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. the Roscoe Police Department hosted National Night Out, a free nationwide program that fosters a sense of community and enhances relationship between neighbors and law enforcement.
Harlem Roscoe Fire Department provided hot dogs, chips and water. The Village of Roscoe served ice cream, food trucks lined the streets, and music was provided by DJ Joe Locke. And, of course, there were games for the kids.
State Farm Insurance, Charred Chisel, Live R.E.A.L Foundation, Tutor Doctor, SENB Bank, STEM for Kids, and Elev815 provided information about their businesses and organizations.
Village Administrator Scott Sanders thanked all the volunteers, including those who volunteered their time setting up for the event, who helped make National Night Out an evening of fun and entertainment.
