- Two local college students earned degrees from UW-Whitewater at winter commencement on Dec. 14, 2024. Katie Bielski of Rockton graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BSE degree in Elementary Middle Education. Christian Isely of Roscoe graduated with a BBA degree in Finance.
- At its March 12 meeting, the Roscoe Zoning Board of Appeals recommended that the Village Board approve a request by Jeff Petry, the developer of the Clearwing subdivision. In 2001, Petry told the Village he would put a community center on Lot A of the subdivision. Two decades later, none of the dozen condo associations and owners have funded a community center. So Petry requested permission to build single family attached townhomes on the lot instead. Board member Laura Baluch was the lone vote against Petry's plan.
