- Tonight, Rockton and Roscoe will hold village board meetings. Roscoe is expected to limit licenses for businesses that primarily sell "Tobacco Products, Alternative Nicotine Products, Electronic Cigarettes, Tobacco Accessories or Smoking Herbs." They will also discuss the 2025 estimated tax levy which would result in an 6.47% decrease in the tax rate but a 3.23% increase in total revenue compared to the 2024 levy. Despite the decrease, residents still might pay more taxes if their home assessment value has increased a lot. A Place Foundry consultant will present a study on the potential of the Rockton Road Corridor.
- Village of Rockton trustees will also work on their estimated tax levy at tonight's meeting. They will discuss sharing the cost of a parking lot with the American Legion and paying Water Well Solutions up to $140,000 for emergency Repairs for Well #9.
- The Hononegah School Board hasn't posted Wednesday's meeting agenda yet, but our reporters will be covering the meeting. We expect more discussion about the proposed Turning Point USA club.
