Tuesday's edition of Rockton-Roscoe News from Roscoe, Rockton, and South Beloit.

  • Residents who suffered through the 2021 Chemtool disaster may not have to wait much longer for compensation. Analytics Consulting emailed a class member Monday afternoon, saying, "Although we are unable to make any promises, Judge Balogh has requested that payments go out to class members with valid claims before the next scheduled court hearing date of May 2nd, 2025. We do expect at this point that payments will be issued prior to that court date."
  • Kinnikinnick School superintendent Keli Freedlund tells us that tonight's Board of Education meeting "will need to be rescheduled as unfortunately we will not have a quorum due to a couple of unforeseen circumstances for our Board members." The meeting has been rescheduled for March 31 in the Kinnikinnick Library at 7 p.m.
  • April Graves of Roscoe, the art teacher at Rockton Grade School and author of Meet The Hotdogs, has finished her second Meet The Hotdogs book and is having a book signing at Inkwell on April 5.
