83 year old Luis Roldan will turn on his massive display of Christmas lights at precisely 5:15 p.m. Thanksgiving evening at 5534 Hodges Way in Roscoe.

Roscoe Village President Carol Gustafson and trustee Michael Wright told us the Village's Public Works team began getting ready for Christmas last week. This week they placed 25 small Christmas trees in the ground to be decorated by youth groups and youth clubs from the Roscoe area, to be lit up before Thanksgiving. Besides the trees, the corner of Main and Bridge will be the site of Christmas huts for the December 13th Hometown Holiday event.

Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department wins Roscoe Township Historical Society’s Heritage Award
On Monday, Nov. 17, 2025 Roscoe Township Historical Society President Laura Zwart presented the Harlem-Roscoe Protection Department with the 2025 Heritage Award at the Cross House. Harlem-Roscoe Fire Chief John Bergeron accepted the award for the department. The RTHS launched the Heritage Enterprise Recognition program in 2021 where the RTHS
