- Veteran race car driver Austin Nason of Roscoe recently came in first at the Joe Shear Classic at Madison International Speedway. It was his second victory in the event - he previously won in 2018.
- The South Beloit concert band celebrated with their Division I plaque for their superior rating at IHSA State Competition. They improved from Division II last year.
- With Mothers Day right around the corner, the Roscoe Gardening Club is having a plant sale on Sunday May 9 at the Roscoe Community Center parking lot.
