Bridge closure, play golf, SOBO baseball

- The Prairie Hill Road bridge separating IL Route 2 (Blackhawk Blvd.) and South Bluff Road is expected to be closed for repairs between March 31 - April 4, 2025. All traffic will be detoured toward IL Route 75 at IL Route 2. Please use caution and anticipate a higher flow of traffic on Blackhawk Blvd., W. Union St. and W. Rockton Road during this period. Residents on South Bluff Road beg you to drive carefully, since they have no sidewalks.
- The Ledges Golf Course will open for play on Friday, March 28, 2025. The golf shop will be staffed beginning at 8:30 a.m. to field calls and book tee times. The golf course is at 7111 McCurry Road in Roscoe.
- SOBO baseball outscored Milledgeville 4-3 on Wednesday, putting the season at 3-0. According to the school's Facebook page, "Richard Carlson had the walk off hit to centerfield in the bottom of the 7th to score Reece Binder and secure the victory. Carlson also had 17 strikeouts in 7 innings of work on the mound."
