The Roscoe Gardening Club & the Village of Roscoe are thrilled to launch the new Hometown Pride Program this spring and summer, proudly sponsored by Ziegler's Ace Roscoe. Nominate your favorite home landscape in the Village of Roscoe. They’re looking for creativity & horticultural design, diversity & uniqueness of plant choices, and overall aesthetic appeal. Three selected homeowners will win a gift certificate to Ziegler's Ace Hardware, along with a coveted "Hometown Pride Winner" yard sign. Nomination period is May 1 – July 31. Winners will be announced August 15. Email all entry forms to hometownprideprogram@gmail.com with a photo or short video (TikTok/YouTube link welcome!)
The boat launch at Hononegah Forest Preserve will be closed for tree removal until further notice. Camping, walking, and picnicking are still available. And there is also a boat launch at Riverside Park a couple of miles down the Rock River.
