Steve Cofoid, Hononegah's former athletic director, has died at age 60. The 1983 recipient of Hononegah's Kelsey Award, he had worked at Hononegah High School for 19 years before his retirement last year. A visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon, Friday, April 11, 2025 in McCorkle Funeral Home in Rockton, IL.
On this week's community calendar for Rockton, South Beloit, and Roscoe: seed saving, story time, live music, euchre, food pantries, chair yoga, comedy, council meeting, story time, and career fair.
At South Beloit Public Library, this month's Spice Club kits are available now. April's spice kit is dill, and includes spice information, recipe, and a spice sample. Kits are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.
Nature at the Confluence invites volunteers to picking up trash in and along Kelly Creek on Saturday, April 12 from 1 - 3 p.m. “Cache In, Trash Out” is an effort organized by geocachers to help steward the land at sites where geocaches have been planted. To volunteer, please RSVP at natureattheconfluence.com.
MembersAlliance Credit Union celebrated Diane James yesterday, as she retired as their Business Development and Community Engagement Director, and Jamie Bejot joined the MembersAlliance team. Both women are connected with the Roscoe/Rockton area.
