The City of South Beloit is hiring a full-time Fire Chief, with a salary of $90,000 – $120,000 per year, working primarily during office hours. According to the official advertisement for the position [PDF] , "The Fire Chief develops and manages an annual budget, provides strategic and operational planning, and institutes and revises a service delivery plan." The ideal candidate would have experience in a combination fire department, managing both Paid on Premise and Paid on Call employees, and a Certified Firefighter III and Fire Officer II or equivalent certification. Executive Fire Officer (EFO) or Chief Fire Officer (CFO) certification would be a plus, as would be a master’s degree in a related field.
