- Rockton Firefighter Konner Lindquist has completed the Office of the State Fire Marshal's Basic Operations Firefighter (BOF) certification requirements. In November, North Park Fire Protection District awarded Konner their first ever Brian Rehnberg Memorial Scholarship to study fire science at Rock Valley College. He is also a very good golfer.
- Join us for a free virtual screening of "Stripped for Parts: American Journalism on the Brink" on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 7 - 9:30 p.m. Central, including a discussion with the director. It's the story of a secretive hedge fund plundering America’s newspapers (including the Chicago Tribune) and the journalists who are fighting back. Stories like this one show how important our work is, as perhaps the only privately, locally owned news outlet in Winnebago County.
