  • Friday is a remote learning day/snow day for all area schools - don’t send your kids out. Still open for families: Stateline YMCA and Kid’s Spot in Roscoe. Local business closings include The South Beloit Boys and Girls Club, Stepping Stones, DeeDee’s, Village Nursery School, Perfectly Seasoned, The Image Gallery, and Mrs. Fisher’s Potato Chips. Historic Attractions Museum and Jill Rae Finally Art are closed for renovations.
  • Hoo Haven Inc. is seeking community support after receiving an electric bill exceeding $2,000 due to winter heating needs for its wildlife rehabilitation operations. Donations can be brought to the organization or made online at hoohaven.org.
