Rockton River Market brings back live music and shopping
The Rockton River Market continues each Wednesday from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m. in downtown Rockton.
Once again this summer, every Wednesday from 5:00 p.m to 8:00 p.m., the Rockton River Market will include a great variety of vendors, with an eclectic mix of food and goods. A partnership between the Stateline Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Rockton, its organizers say they are "committed to bringing a quality weeknight summer event to the Stateline area." The market and music is held in downtown Rockton at Settlers Park, 125 E. Hawick Street.
Each week a different band begins playing at 6:00 p.m., Rockton River Market's first live music in two years. The June 9 musicians will be Dirty Fishnet Stockings, a local rockabilly band that warns, "THIS STYLE OF MUSIC IS VERY CONTAGIOUS." On June 2, Gary the Band, a singer/songwriter trio, were the featured musicians.
Vendors include:
- Veebo's Pizza
- Fibs
- Wok n Roll by Bamboo

According to the Rockton River Market's Facebook page:
1. No outside alcohol is allowed. Food and drink is available for purchase. Vendors pay a fee so we can pay the bands, so help us keep this a free event for the public.
2. Well behaved dogs are allowed but must remain away from food booths. Dogs (and their humans) creating disturbances will be asked to leave. Help us keep the market dog-friendly.
Here's how the market will be a little different this year because of COVID:
1. Many of your favorite vendors are back but just in slightly different locations. Vendors may ask you to wear a mask when purchasing products. All food and drink will be handled by the vendor until the purchase is complete.
2. Masks are not required but recommended if you cannot maintain 6' distances from strangers. People are encouraged to sit with their groups and maintain a 6' distance from other groups.
3. The market info booth will have extra hand sanitizer available for patrons' use.
