The first day of the 111th Roscoe Fall Festival at Leland Park featured carnival rides, games, food, bingo, beer, music by The OGMC with Kevin & Greg, and even the caricature artist from Lincoln Park Zoo.
On Saturday, we'll have the Kiddie Costume Parade, Kids’ Day on The Midway (for $25, kids can buy a wristband good for four hours on all rides), karaoke by Johnny West & Friends (benefits Vets Roll), and music by The 80’s Hit List.
Support your local news so we can bring you more Festival details.
Besides rides, food, and music, check out the local vendors and organizations in the Exhibitor Tent, who are offering goodies, games, and other amusements:
- Get your old-timey photo taken at the Roscoe Township Historical Society table.

- And have you ever considered becoming a school bus driver?
The Fall Festival, which runs September 9-11, 2022, is one of the longest running events of its kind. In 1910, the Roscoe Improvement Association held the first Fall Festival in Roscoe, right here at Leland Park, featuring a Kentucky-style barbecue: a steer and two lambs, as well as a play at the nearby town hall, put on by the Girls Club. The Association's efforts in Roscoe established a fire department, electric service, and sidewalks. For the past 52 years, the Roscoe Lions Club has organized the annual event. In 2020, it was canceled because of COVID-19, but returned for 2021.
