Obituary: Jeffery Michael Evans (1978-2021)

Jeffery Michael Evans passed away at Javon Bea Hospital on July 4, 2021 at the age of 42 after a short illness.  Jeffrey was born in Rockford, Illinois on October 14, 1978. Jeffrey went to Harlem High where he graduated in 1997. After graduation he moved to Dalton, Ga where he attended Dalton State College. He was self-employed in construction. Jeffery enjoyed fishing, watching the Cubs and Bears play and hanging with family and friends. He was funny, loving and loved making people laugh. He would help anyone who needed it.

Jeffery is survived by his mother, Mary Evans; his son, Bradley L. Evans; sister, Amy L. Evans-Mitchell; nephews, Michael Evans, Daymn Mitchell; niece, Michelle Mitchell; 1 great-nephew, Wren; and one great-niece, Aurora. Other survivors, Barb (Chris) Feehan, Jennifer (Blaine) Feehan-Reames; special big sister, Pamela (Sam) Colyott, Rob (Jody) Black; uncles, Bob Black, Terry (Connie) Evans; aunt, Geraldine; and special friend, Josette Gravagno.

Jeffery is predeceased by his father, Brad L. Evans, his grandparents on both sides, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 9, 2021 in Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory – Mulford Chapel, 4311 N. Mulford Rd., Loves Park, IL. There will be private burial services at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the Evans family.
