Even though it was April Fool’s Day, there was “No Fooling Around” in the shops and stores on Hawick Street Friday evening, April 1.  The event gave shoppers an opportunity to get a taste of all that the popular area has to offer.

After the Vine offered a free wine tasting event that drew a large crowd of wine lovers throughout the evening. Visitors sipped wine or a craft beer with friends and listened to acoustical music from “Good Vibrations” musician Kevin Burns.

“This is just wonderful,” Cynthia Seine said. She and her husband Jay, from Texas, were visiting relatives and dropped by for a glass of wine. “After the Vine is a hidden gem.”

(L to R) Cynthia and Jay Seien, visiting from Texas, and Jackie Wood loved the wine and atmosphere at After the Vine Wine Bar on Hawick Street in Rockton during the No Fooling Around event, April 1. Wine tasting and music entertained the large crowd through the evening.
