At the Community Forum, Carol Gustafson invited all Roscoe residents to a community planning meeting on April 30, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at Roscoe Village Hall. 10631 Main St, Roscoe, IL 61073. She says residents will see "what creative zoning and development will look like" and "we're going to take a look at some of the plans again that we have for our I 90 as well as downtown." The Rockton Village Board of Trustees will hold a special Village Board meeting to discuss the "proposed Blackhawk Avenue Area New Water Main and Service Connections Project." The meeting will be Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at 7 p.m. at the Rockton Municipal Center, 110 East Main Street, Rockton, IL.
That's a lot of food: Farmers Rising in Caledonia will be able to purchase $1.5 million worth of locally produced food from small, new and socially disadvantaged farmers over the next 15 months and deliver it to social service agencies in the Rockford and Belvidere region. The reason: they have been selected as lead agency for the USDA Local Food Purchase Assistance program.

The Friends of Talcott Free Library in Rockton wish to invite the community to their Mini Spring Used Book Sale on May 10-11, 2024 at 101 East Main Street. Max Zubic, a recent Hononegah graduate and popular musician, will be playing May 26, 2024 at the Acoustic Festival at Neighbors Bar in Loves Park. He has just released his first original single, "Born to Run" - a song with attitude and encouragement and not a cover of Bruce Springsteen's 1975 song of the same name.
