Roscoe - Tuesday, Jan. 20
Roscoe Village Hall, 10631 Main St.
- Village Board of Trustees: 6:30 p.m.
- Committee of the Whole: 6:45 p.m.
Items include a first look at a proposed amendment to the Special Use Permit for the Rodgers Ready Mix site at 14165 2nd Street. The request could allow mining operations to continue beyond the currently approved 2045 end date, potentially for an additional 75 years.
Trustees will also discuss extending the village’s tree maintenance contract, review the Capital Improvement Program, and consider the tentative FY2026 budget and appropriation. Roscoe Restaurant Week 2026 (April 10–18) is also on the agenda.

Items include a proposed School Resource Officer agreement with Hononegah Community High School District No. 207, which is scheduled for consideration by the Village Board.
Trustees will also review zoning matters, including driveway setback and access width variances and a zoning map amendment involving several downtown properties. Other items include health insurance renewals, public works purchases and contracts, and the Yeti Fest special events application for Feb. 4–7.
South Beloit - Tuesday, Jan. 20
South Beloit City Hall, 519 Blackhawk Blvd.
- Regular Council Meeting: 5:00 p.m.
Items include a proposed agreement with Motorola Solutions to provide access to public safety network services, along with several additional contracts scheduled for discussion and action.
Council members will also consider declaring city property at 532 Hemmenway Place surplus and authorizing its sale, approving an interagency agreement with Youth Services Network, and entering into agreements for strategic planning services, equipment purchases, and EMS and firefighting staffing services. A part-time hire for the Streets Department is also on the agenda. An executive session is listed to discuss personnel matters, including employment and compensation.
