Mercyhealth Urgent Care-Roscoe increasing to 12 hours a day, up to 24 hours this fall
Mercyhealth intends to provide round-the-clock urgent care to Roscoe by early fall 2024.
Mercyhealth Urgent Care-Roscoe is expanding its hours to 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. by mid-July 2024. Therese Michels, Media Relations with Mercyhealth, tells us the new 12-hour schedule will begin "next week" and that by early fall, they intend to be open 24 hours a day.
Currently, urgent care services at 5000 Prairie Rose Drive in Roscoe are only available Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Before COVID, they were open 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. At one point during COVID in January 2022, the Roscoe urgent care was temporarily closed, though physicians at that location were still taking appointments.
Today, twelve providers at Mercyhealth's Roscoe location offer primary care, gynecology, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, and podiatry. Services include midwifery, physical therapy, radiology, ultrasound, an X-ray laboratory, mammography, bone care, and breast care.
In the Roscoe and Rockton area, Northpointe Health, associated with Beloit Health System, also offers immediate care service at 5605 E. Rockton Road. Near South Beloit, Beloit Clinic Convenient Care is open at 1905 E. Huebbe Parkway in Beloit. Its parent organization, Beloit Health System, hopes to open a "neighborhood hospital" at Northpointe in Roscoe, late 2026 or early 2027. The UW Roscoe Clinic on Rockton Road no longer offers urgent care services.
In Machesney Park, Physicians Immediate Care is available at 11475 N 2nd St. The Mercyhealth Urgent Care on Perryville at 3401 N. Perryville Rd. in Rockford is open 8 a.m.-9 p.m. each day.
