Meet Sherry Hogan, candidate for South Beloit School Board

Hello, with the upcoming school board elections on April 1st. I just want to introduce myself. I am running as a write in for South Beloit School district board. I am currently serving the board and have been for the last year. I am a former Sobo, a Sobo parent, and now a Sobo grandparent. I have had the privilege to watch our district continue to grow over the last 30 years. Personally, I have seen every aspect of education from being a student and a parent, to working as a paraprofessional and a substitute teacher, to now being a member of the board. Collectively, our current school board strives to provide the best educational opportunities and safe atmosphere for our students! I hope to continue the ability to work along side my current school board members to keep pursuing greatness for our children and our community. I understand the importance of being approachable and having empathy for our community. It really does take a village to raise our youth these days and our Sobo community has a great village that I want to see continue to grow! I encourage everyone to get out and vote on April 1st and I hope to have your vote to continue on the school board along with my fellow board members Devon Pilz, Ashley Newton, and Jeff Becorest! Collectively we all aim to continue working to MAKE OUR SCHOOLS GREAT!
