Looking to move to 6-0, Hononegah is hosting Boylan Friday night
Indians have a huge test on Friday if they want to remain undefeated
The 2022 Hononegah Indians are 5-0 because of a 39-point outburst after falling behind 16-0 to East last Friday night for Homecoming. The slow start is becoming a trend for the Indians this season, having fallen behind the last couple of games but showing grit and a strong mindset by bouncing back each game to win in a convincing fashion.

If they do that again this week, the task might be a tough one to come back from. Boylan has a ton of talent across the board, both running and passing. On offense and defense, they are disciplined and strong. Led by head coach John Cacciatore, the Titans are 4-1 in the season, having lost only to Belvidere North41-39 earlier in the season. Junior QB Connor Dennis is the signal caller every coach would love to have - an upperclassman who runs the offense to a T. The defense has a ton of guys who are physical and fast, led on the back end by Mark Harris who also gets time on offense. The Titans have had a few former players go on to the NFL. Currently Dean Lowry is playing for the Green Bay Packers.

The Hononegah Indians have a strong and deep coaching staff led by Bryan Zimmerman. Last week, Will Roberts helped the defense shut down the East E-rabs after giving up 16 points early. The special teams have been solid all season long for the Indians. Hononegah has one of the area’s best long snappers in senior Branden Partlow. With Cole Warren under center having a great season, it reminds some of Chris Finlen. Finlen is a former Indian who was a professional football player.
