Live Music: The Stevee Nix
Fri May 12 7:00 pm, Louie's Tap House 5689 Elevator Road Roscoe IL, 61073
7 -11 p.m.
The Stevee Nix is one of the hottest area bands and they're back at Louies Tap House. Rocking clubs & festival stages since 2004, The Stevee Nix never disappoints. No cover.
The band forms a potent blend of genres that is refreshing in this day and age of ordinary cover bands. Each member’s personal creativity and influences are wired into the songs they cover. They take no shame in conveying on stage the energy and emotion with songs that inject crowds everywhere with an instant party atmosphere.
The lineup does not include Fleetwood Mac vocalist Stevie Nicks, but is comprised of a unique combination of life-long friends that together total well over 100 years of music experience. Al Altamore on lead guitar/backing vocals is an extremely well-rounded player who’s been shredding guitar licks over the years in various groups such as Bad Habit, Bent Dreams, Fan Club, Trash 80’s, and Groove Weasel. Kenny Goldman on drums is a fixture in the regional music scene pounding the skins in groups throughout the Chicagoland area like HyperFlo and Matza-Rella. John Wassilak, on bass guitar thumps and grooves having played with Matza-Rella and other Chicago bands. Vocalist Nicky Bertolino and guitarist/backing vocals Nick Sinnaeve round out the group with their crazy stage antics and energy that they crafted and perfected in the 80’s & 90’s playing together in the well loved area band ICU.
