This three day event commemorates the 160th anniversary of the election of 1864, in which Abraham Lincoln was reelected to the Presidency.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the election from reenactors as well as learning about life in 1864 and the evolution of our community.
The long lasting implications of the election are still felt today as it ensured the reunification of the United States, making possible the 13th Amendment and was subsequently followed by the 14th & 15th Amendments.
The event intends to educate the general public about the role the community played during the election and the Civil War, and the effort that Union soldiers had to go through in order to cast their votes in the election.
