Karl Jentz was a tinkerer and a fixer

Karl F.P. Jentz of Rockton, IL was born on October 29, 1945 in Beloit, WI, the son of Karl W. and Ellen (O’Donnell) Jentz. Karl attended South Beloit High School. He married Winifred Baker on March 15, 1969 in the Old Stone Church, Rockton, IL.
Karl passed away on Saturday, July 29, 2023. He was 77 years old.
He was employed by Chrysler Corporation from 1967 until his retirement in 1997. He was a master forklift operator and taught many the art.
Karl loved his family fiercely and adored his grandchildren. He loved NASCAR and never missed a Sunday race. Karl was a fixer of all things, and loved tinkering in the garage. He was the king of the remote. His opinion was heard, wanted or not. He had many stories to tell of fast cars, adventures with friends on Harleys, at the racetracks and at the watering hole.
Karl was a proud member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 191 and the Chrysler UAW Local #1246.
A visitation of remembrance for Karl will be from 12 p.m. until 1:45 p.m on Friday, August 4, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.
A Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 191 service will be held at 1:45 p.m. Friday, followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. with Pastor Dan Herman officiating. Burial will take place at Floral Lawn Cemetery, South Beloit, IL.
Karl is survived by his wife, Winnie Jentz of Rockton, IL; children, Lori (Christopher) Jentz-Pate of New Braunfels, TX and Paul (Sheree) Jentz of Roscoe, IL; grandchildren, Taylor, Jonah, Kristen, Connor, Christopher, Mattison, Rylee and Zachery; great grandson Rowan; brothers Raymond (Nancy) Jentz and Marty Schober, both of Beloit, WI.
He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Gary and Bob Jentz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #191 which will be dispersed to the lodge charities.
