Juvenile accidentally shot in the leg in Roscoe
A 34-year-old male relative was arrested for endangering the life & health of a child.

Roscoe Police were dispatched Thursday afternoon, Oct. 26, 2023, to the 10000 block of Bitterroot Road in Roscoe, where they learned that a family member had accidentally discharged a firearm inside the house, striking the juvenile in the leg. Shortly after 1:30 p.m., the juvenile was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 34-year-old male relative was arrested for endangering the life & health of a child, though like all suspects in the American judicial system, he is presumed innocent until proven guilty. Police Chief Sam Hawley says, "This investigation is ongoing; however, there are no additional suspects involved in this incident. There is no danger to the public." The neighborhood is east of Main Street and north of McDonald Road.
