John Munoz served in the Navy during World War II

John Munoz, 96, of South Beloit, IL, was born on January 3, 1927 in Hartshorne, OK, the son of Thomas and Gila (Lopez) Munoz. John was a World War II veteran serving with the United States Navy. He married Marjorie Quade on September 24, 1949 in Rockton, IL. She predeceased him on August 18, 2016.
John passed away on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at the UW Hospital in Madison, WI.
John was formerly employed by Fairbanks Morse in Beloit, WI, and retired from Warner Electric.
Survivors include his children, Thomas (Karen) Munoz, Debbie Roy, and Paul (Linda) Munoz; grandchildren, Julie, Bridget, Jackie, Jennifer, and Brian; great-grandchildren, Justus, Lacey, Kylie, Braden, Brendan, Bryce, and Ashley; great-great grandchild, Lucca; siblings, Connie Buchanan, Raquel Zickert, and Angelo (Shirley) Munoz.
John was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter Nancy; brother Nick; and sisters Lola and Ann.
A Visitation of Remembrance for John will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Burial will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by VFW Mead Allen Post #2306.
