Indians run past Boylan 70-55 Monday Night from the Fieldhouse.
Hononegah runs past Boylan and gets a 70-55 win on Monday night. The win against the Titans continues a trend of playing better and better for the Hononegah Indians.
The first quarter saw the visitors hit some tough shots and grab many missed shots from the purple and gold. The second quarter was a tale of two parts. Part number one went to Boylan as they clawed, worked to a 27-20 lead, and put star guard Oba Fasalojo on the bench with two fouls. The remaining time in the 2nd quarter saw the Indians tip balls, jump passing lanes, and grab rebounds away from Boylan. The Indians could also finish the quarter on a 10-0 run and head into halftime with a 30-27 lead. Brayden Olson drove the Indians in the 2nd quarter, who had 5 points and finished the game with 16 points. Carter Feedlund had 4 points in the quarter and seemed to grab every available rebound during the last two-plus minutes.
After the halftime break, Hononegah jumped right on Boylan as they scored six quick points and forced a timeout from Boylan Catholic coach Brett McAllister. This seemed to calm Boylan down for a couple of minutes. However, another spurt from Hononegah pushed the lead out to 20 with 2 minutes left in the 3rd. The quarter ended with Hononegah having a 52-36 lead and feeling pretty good as the student crowd was more excited than I think they were at any other point in the game.
The fourth was a matter of time running out for the 3-7 Boylan Catholic Titans. The final Score from the Hononegah campus was 70-55.
