Honoring HRFD Firefighter of the Year
Lieutenant Ryan Donner was recently chosen by fellow firefighters as Firefighter of the Year for Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department.
Lieutenant Ryan Donner was recently chosen by fellow HRFD firefighters as Firefighter of the Year (2024) at an awards dinner and ceremony at Mary’s Market in Roscoe. He is one of over 60 firefighters on the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department roster. Born and raised in Dixon, Illinois, he joined the fire service in 2009 at the age of 18. Sixteen years later, he continues to excel in his career in the Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department. He joined the HRFD as a full-time firefighter in 2021. He is also a registered paramedic, and an HRFD Quartermaster, overseeing gear and uniforms.
There are three fire stations in the Harlem Roscoe Fire District: Station 1 – 105401 Main Street, Roscoe, Station 2 – 825 Ralston Road, Machesney Park and Station 3 – 23974 Willow Brook Road, Roscoe.
