Hononegah student athlete signs with UW-Stevens Point for soccer on the pitch
Former Hononegah High School coach Nic Haab stated, “Ben brings leadership and maturity.”

Hononegah High School, Rockton, IL - Surrounded by nearly 100 family and friends, Hononegah High School senior Ben Clements-Jewery officially signed his national letter of intent on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, to attend and play soccer at UW-Stevens Point in the fall.
Each high school signing at Hononegah High School has its own feel. Wednesday was focused on the Student-Athlete. Ben Clements-Jewer has a 4.25 grade point average. With the competitive academic curriculum that Hononegah High School offers, achieving a 4.25 grade point average should set the table for a solid path to the collegiate level.
On the pitch, former Hononegah High School coach Nic Haab stated, “Ben brings leadership and maturity” for the UWSP Pointers.
The University of Stevens Point started its men’s soccer program over a year ago. According to its current roster, the team has a lot of youth (34 freshmen, 3 sophomores, 2 juniors). So, having someone with lots of experience like Ben Clements-Jewery, who has played four years of NIC-10 high school soccer and multiple years with the Rockford Raptors Soccer Club, should help him adjust to the level.
Thanks to Hononegah High School Athletic Director Andrew Walters, Ben Clements-Jewery, and his family for allowing me to attend the signing on Wednesday, April 16, 2025.
