Hononegah Indians all over the Spring 2023 NIC-10 all conference teams
Indians are well represented on the spring 2023 NIC-10 all-conference teams.
The list of NIC-10 all-conference teams for the spring sports were circulated to the media earlier today. Hononegah High School in Rockton, Illinois is well-represented on all the teams.
Boys baseball saw six first-team all-conference performers, including conference MVP Maddox Hibbard. The senior first baseman helped lead the Indians to a 29-7 season record, finishing 2nd in the NIC-10 with a 16-2 conference record. The Indians ended their season yesterday, dropping the super sectional to York 5-0.
The girls softball team also was all over the first team all-conference team as well. Hononegah went undefeated at 18-0 in the NIC-10 and 26-6-1 overall. The Lady Indians ended their season in the regional final, losing 4-2 to Hampshire. Junior catcher Dani Franz had 10 home runs, Brielle Sendele had 7, and Aislynn Palmer had 7 too.
The boys tennis team placed three players on the all-conference team. Seniors Erik Johnson and Austin Kirwin were joined by singles-MVP Freshman Braden Monson. The Indians were at the top of the conference standings this year.
The 4th place Lady Indian girls soccer team finished 6-3 in the NIC-10 conference and were able to place junior midfielder Molly Hughes, and sophomore defender Juliana Sather on the first team, while also putting senior defender Lucia Jahn on the special mention team.

Finally, the NIC-10 conference boys volleyball team, as expected, was led by Hononegah High School senior Lynde Savitski. The Ball State signee was joined by Saul Minero and Brady Foss on the first team. Adam Steege made the special mention team for the NIC-10 conference champion Hononegah Indians. Hononegah was 14-0 in the NIC-10 and 33-7 overall, falling to Stevenson in the sectional final last month.
