Hononegah Girls Track & Field launches fundraiser for essential gear
If you’ve stepped inside the Hononegah fieldhouse lately, you’ve likely felt the floor vibrate. It’s not a tremor; it’s the sound of dozens of pairs of spikes hitting the purple and white track as the Hononegah Girls Track & Field team prepares for a big season.

The Girls Track program has seen "exponential growth" over the last few years. One look at the team photos—where rows of smiling athletes stretch nearly across the width of the eight-lane sprint straightaway—confirms the interest in track & field.
But with a bigger roster comes a bigger need for gear. To keep this momentum moving, the team is launching a fundraiser to ensure every athlete has what they need to succeed. The wishlist is practical: a new team tent to provide shade and a home base during those long, grueling invitationals, and new warm-ups to keep the girls ready to go between events.
Perhaps most importantly, they are looking to invest in recovery. Money raised will go toward resistance bands and team foam rollers, essential tools that the girls can bring directly to meets to keep muscles loose and injury-free. It’s about more than just fast times; it’s about supporting the health and hard work of a dedicated group of young women representing our community.

Why Are Donations Necessary?
Our program is extremely grateful for any and all contributions we receive. Over the past few years, our Hononegah Girls Track & Field team has grown exponentially. Our goal is to raise funds to support those numbers. We are raising funds for a new team tent, new warm-ups, and essential equipment such as resistance bands and team foam rollers that we can bring to meets to support our athletes' recovery. As always, we thank you for supporting our Girls Track & Field Team!
