Hononegah Community High School in competition this weekend
Students are competing in math, bowling, and basketball.
In addition to regular season play, this weekend Hononegah hosts the Hononegah Math Invitational, the NIC-10 Varsity Wrestling tournament. The Boys Bowling Team is currently in 10th place after day one at the IHSA State tournament earning them the chance to compete for the title on Saturday. Congratulations to senior Joseph Kasel on qualifying for the American Invitational Mathematics Examination. He will be among the most gifted math students in the nation competing on Tuesday, February 8. This is the second year in a row that Joseph has qualified for this elite event.
This Sunday January 30, Hononegah Special Olympics will participate in the Region A Basketball Competition. This event will take place in the Byron Fieldhouse. Opening ceremony starts at 9:00 a.m. with Hononegah playing two games against Opportunity House Lightning starting at 9:30 a.m.
