Hononegah Bass Fishing finishes 4th at state

Hono Bass Fishing team gets 21 pounds of bass in the boat at the ISHA Bass Fishing State Final Tournament at Carlyle Lake.

Hononegah Bass Fishing finishes 4th at state

Last weekend in Carlyle, IL the Hononegah High School Bass Fishing team finished 4th overall at the ISHA Bass Fishing State Final tournament.

The team consisted of Noah Smith, Dylan Austin, and Dane Lindvall. The three-member team finished the two-day IHSA State Final Tournament with a total of 10 fish weighing 21 lbs. 3 oz. The winning team was from Wheaton North with a total of 10 fish and weighting 22 lbs. 2 oz.

The great showing continues a new tradition for Hononegah Bass Fishing, having competed at the state level three years in a row.

The Hononegah Indians Bass Fishing team is coached by Sharon Bowman. The IHSA Bass Fishing State Final Tournament boat was driven by Joe Lindvall.
