Visitors can celebrate the end of fall harvest season at Harvest Harmony Day, Nature At The Confluence on October 20, 2024, along with Farmers Rising. The event features heirloom corn grinding and corn bread sampling, herbal tincture making, three sisters soup sampling, and guided garden winter preparation talks every half hour. Plus, learn about the magic of decomposition with Nettle Curbside Compost and take a self-guided hike on the woodland trails. Activities will take place both indoors and outdoors from 1-3 p.m.
Supplies are limited and first-come-first-serve. This program is best suited for ages 8 and up, all ages are welcome. Admission is free to all thanks to sponsorship from Cloud Haven Dispensary of South Beloit. Please RSVP at natureattheconfluence.com.
There is something for everyone at Nature At The Confluence. An “Intro to Phenology” workshop will take place on November 16 and “Family Fort Day” on November 27.
