Mary Lynn Adleman, 80, of South Beloit, IL, was always up for any outing or adventure. She enjoyed traveling including trips to Ireland, London, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Paris, New York City, and California. She loved spending time at their home in Naples, FL and walking on the beach. She enjoyed tours with the Model A Club. Most of all, she loved being a mother and spending time with her family.

She passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at the Suites at Beloit surrounded by family and close friends.

She was born on May 3, 1943, in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Harold and Virginia (Dyer) Poole. Mary Lynn was a 1961 Beloit Memorial High School graduate. She later attended cosmetology school in Madison. Mary Lynn married Leslie Adleman on July 12, 1969, in the Church by the Side of the Road in Rockton, IL.

Mary Lynn was formerly employed as a hair stylist at Pleasant Beauty Salon. She later became a homemaker for her family. Mary Lynn was a loving and devoted mother. She was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Rockton, IL, where she was a chairman for the church luncheons and a vacation Bible school teacher. She was a member of the South Beloit Historical Society where she loved to decorate the Christmas tree every year. Mary Lynn loved cars especially her 1968 Corvette. She enjoyed camping, sitting around a campfire, decorating, gardening, and building the home they lived in for 50 years. She had a fantastic sense of style.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Leslie Adleman; children, Teresa (Brad Austin) Adleman of Beloit, WI, Tim (Cheri) Adleman of South Beloit, IL, Jill (Roger) Niman of Arkdale, WI, Jeff (Jennifer Pete) Adleman of Beloit, WI, Denise Adleman of Clermont, FL, and Lyndsie Adleman of South Beloit, IL; grandchildren, Ryan (Tiffany) Adleman, Ashley (Kevin) Callahan, Sarah (Jesse Cull) Niman, Aaron (Kristi) Niman, Tyler (Kayla) Niman, Jeremy Lange, and Justin Lange; several grand dogs and grand cats; 10 (soon to be 11) great-grandchildren; niece, Linda (Bill) Drager; nephew, Don Poole; many special friends; godsons, Corey Fritzke, Ben Balsman, Don Poole; and goddaughter, Jill Buchs.

Mary Lynn was predeceased by her parents; son, Arek; daughter, Leslea; brother, Gerald J. Poole; and sister-in-law, Annette Poole.

A memorial service for Mary Lynn will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 511 W. Rockton Rd., Rockton, IL, with Pastor Don Stein officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7  p.m. on Wednesday, August 16, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI. Visitation will also be from 10 a.m. until the service Thursday at the church.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Suites at Beloit for all their loving care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Beloit Regional Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
