Kathleen Esselman was a phlebotomist, Bible student, scrapbooker

Kathleen M. Esselman, 67, of South Beloit, IL, died on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Fair Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

She was born on October 6, 1955 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of John and Nancy (Varner) Laursen. Kathy was a 1973 graduate of Beloit Memorial High School.

Kathy was employed as a phlebotomist at Rockford Memorial Hospital. She enjoyed studying the Bible, scrapbooking, and she was a devoted member of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 1983. Kathy loved her grandchildren very much; she enjoyed taking pictures of them and sharing her photo memories with everyone. She loved always being involved in her grandchildren’s and family’s activities.

Survivors include her daughter Erica Esselman of Rockton, IL and grandchildren Morgan Elizabeth Seymour and Dylan Joshua Seymour. 

She was predeceased by her father, son Joshua Michael Esselman, and sister Cindy Lee.

A Visitation of Remembrance will be from 4 - 6 p.m. on Friday, April 21, 2023 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd., Beloit, WI, followed by a memorial service beginning at 6:00 p.m.
