"I've lived in South Beloit my whole life," says Brian Hedrington. As he finishes up his first four-year term on the South Beloit City Council, as Commissioner of Streets and Public Improvement, Hedrington is running for reelection "to complete projects that are started, to give back to the community, continue the good things going on."

Hedrington has been married 35 years, with one son in the Air Force, one daughter and son in law, with three grandkids. He has worked for the City of Rockford for ten years, as a sign & marking tech.

Some of his goals for South Beloit: update snowplow equipment and to hire two full-time fire fighters/paramedics and more full-time public works staff.

He wants to "make the city more attractive, to bring in more business," getting streets repaired and getting the I-90 corridor developed.

Hedrington says, "The new Kwik Star gas station will bring in more revenue" and notes the City of South Beloit has already seen revenue increases from the Sunnyside cannabis dispensary.
