Tom Schmidt named new Hononegah High School boys basketball coach

If the name Tom Schmidt sounds familiar, it should. Tom finished his playing career at Hononegah in 1995 under then-coach Jay Bryant. 

Former coach Mike Miller stepped down earlier this spring to focus more time on his family. At that time, Miller felt Schmidt was the right person for the job.

In a press release on Thursday evening announcing the hiring,  athletic director Steve Cofoid 
stated, "The Hononegah High School Athletic Department is delighted to inform the community that the Hononegah Board of Education approved Thomas Schmidt as Hononegah’s new Varsity Boys Basketball Coach."
