The pandemic was hard for everyone, but for some it hit a little differently. Ashley Cooke was concerned how it would impact her country music career. Well, because of her efforts, her social media plan, and her huge talent, she came out with a bigger following and a career that she now takes across the world playing to audiences who sing back her songs.

"Finding love, losing love, wanting love, not wanting love, all of it – it's all just a part of life," says Cooke, 24, in a recent interview with PEOPLE about the variety of lovely cuts on her album Already Drank That Beer Side A.

"I've always just loved writing music about where you're at in life and really just being genuine with that," says Cooke, whose debut project included eight tracks written by Cooke and a slew of Nashville's hottest songwriters, including Nicolle Galyon, Craig Wiseman, and Hunter Phelps.

Cooke began her journey at age 11 in a duo with her sister. In April 2022, she signed a co-venture deal with Big Loud Records/Back Blocks Music. Since coming to Nashville she has met tons of wonderful artists and people. None more so than Cole Swindell-Cooke says he is as nice as he is talented. She credits him with influencing her as an artist and human being. Once he leaves the stage every night he is humble and kind to everyone.

Ashley Cooke has her hands in so many projects. Her latest is the615house on Instagram. It promotes the next wave of Nashville talent.

Ashley Cooke is on the OSD stage Thursday, June 16 with Cooper Alan and Spencer Crandall.
