Kicking Off Spring brings dozens of vendors this weekend

A two-day event this weekend brings food trucks, bounce houses, and more than twenty Rockford-area vendors to 11742 Main Street - on the newer part of Roscoe's Main Street north of Elevator Road. The "Kicking Off Spring Vendor Event," which mostly focuses on beauty and adornment, runs from 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 21 and from 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 22.

Organizer Nova Jackson owns Obsessions Beauty Bar, one of several woman-owned businesses in the building, along with Radiance by Roxanne, and Clearings Counseling Center. But she adds, "I didn’t want all of the attention to be on me." So she invited more than twenty vendors to set up this weekend in the parking lot of their building.

Nova asks attendees to park on the street and advises, "Bring cash. Small bills are always preferred at events like this! Some vendors accept cards but this is just to make it easier."

The event will include two bounce houses from Bounce House Extravaganza.
