Two consecutive armed robberies at Roscoe gas stations Saturday

Three suspects, one with a gun, demanded money from two Roscoe gas stations.

On November 13 at 11:35 p.m., the Roscoe Police Department was dispatched to the Speedway gas station at 5951 East Rockton Road for a holdup alarm. The officers arrived and discovered that three black males had entered the business demanding cash, one displayed a black handgun. The police reported, "The suspects fled the area in an unknown direction. "

But soon their direction of flight became apparent, because while police investigated this incident, an identical armed robbery was reported at the FasMart at 9095 North 2nd Street at Swanson.  Initial investigations indicate that both crimes were committed by the same suspects, described as three black males, not very big, wearing dark clothing and traveling in a newer model, silver-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee. They were dressed warmly in hooded coats.

The businesses' surveillance cameras captured photos of the suspects. Anyone who may be able to identify them is encouraged to contact the Roscoe Police Department at 815-623-7338.

The armed robbery suspects were traveling in a newer, silver Jeep Grand Cherokee.
