Pam Gillis (1948-2021) enjoyed her time as a hairdresser, loved drawing and ceramics

Pamela K. Gillis, formerly known as Pamela Fluehr, age 73, of Roscoe, IL, passed away on November 6, 2021 at Northwoods Nursing Home. Pam was born on July 30, 1948 in Belvidere to Harold and Rosemary (Smith) Nordeen. She married Robert (Bob) Gillis on November 23, 1990. Pam was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved drawing, ceramics, flower planting, cooking, and watching her favorite TV shows: HGTV and any remodeling show out there. Her favorite career was when she was a hairdresser. She also loved when her and Bob would travel to Fort Atkinson for a dinner and show. 

Pam will be truly missed by her husband, Bob; children, Tom and Terri (Rice) Fluehr, Tony and Beth (Rodriguez) Fluehr, Thor Fluehr; grandchildren, Alex Fluehr, Trey Fluehr, Taylor Fluehr, Olivia Fluehr, great-granddaughter, Everleigh Fluehr, sister, Gayle Keating and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Cheryl Nordeen, Albert and Bernadine Gillis and Charles Gillis. 

Instead of flowers, donations may be given to Heartland Hospice (ProMedica). A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald Funeral Home & Crematory, 1860 S. Mulford Rd. Rockford, IL. A private burial will be held at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
