The Village of Roscoe is hosting the third annual, frightfully fun Truck or Treat Halloween party, on October 19, 2024, 3 -6 p.m., at Porter Park, 6545 Windflower Lane in Roscoe. The Roscoe Eat One 5 Truck or Treat event has become a very well attended, family-friendly Halloween celebration.
Village of Roscoe employees Anne Hanson and Janel Reidinger created the idea for the party in the park in 2022. They have been working on the 2024 version for months, adding new attractions and activities, and more vendors for the event. The 2024 version promises to be better than ever.
Admission is free. Come as you are, or come in costume.
Games, crafts, decorated pumpkins, and, of course, trick or treating with 28-30 area businesses handing out candy and other goodies.
Kids are invited to paint a picture or a message on an old school bus, "touch a truck" featuring vehicles from Harlem-Roscoe Fire Department, Roscoe Police Department, and Roscoe Public Works, and much more.
Festivities take place throughout the park. This year, many attractions can be found north of the walking bridge.

3 - 6 p.m: Kids will have a blast bouncing around in the huge balloon bubble house and exploring the coloring wall, presented by Sarah Doyle, former owner of Board and Brush in Roscoe, Illinois.
3 - 6 p.m: Master pumpkin carver, Lincoln Bias of the Food Network, will be demonstrating his art of carving spectacular and unusual pumpkins in the park.

Roscoe Police Department officers and the Public Works Department will be directing traffic and crowd control.
The village appreciates in-kind donations made by Culvers, Perfetti Van Melle, Pepsi, Rockford Ice Hogs, Bud & Sue's Market, S&H Nursery, Pietros Pizza, and Port-o-John.
