With sadness, we announce the following deaths for Roscoe, Rockton, and South Beloit in recent weeks:

Sept. 28, 2024:
Mary Dach, 65, Rockton
She worked for many years in quality control at Testors Corporation. She could fix anything.

Sept. 30, 2024:
Ella McGuire, 89, Roscoe
Passionate about her views, a thoughtful listener, and a woman with a huge heart for family, she was also a strong advocate for animal welfare.

Oct. 2, 2024:
Richard Read, 80, Rockton
Raised on a dairy farm, he was always asked to be the chef for special events.

Donna Malmberg, 93, Rockton
She managed the Wagon Wheel Ice Palace for several years.

Oct. 5, 2024:
Orvan Morrical, 79, Rockton
He worked for Chrysler for 30 years, then for Winnebago County Forest Preserve. He got a big charge out of teasing his grandkids.

Oct. 6, 2024:
Patricia Sandell, 77, Roscoe
She worked for Rockford School District for 35 years. She enjoyed carousel horses, eagles, and crossword puzzles.

Oct. 7, 2024:
Joyce Eggleston, 82, Highview at the Woodlands, Rockton
They raised Belted Galloway cattle in New Glarus for over 20 years.

Mary Light, 84, South Beloit
Her faith and Southern accent were the first things people noticed about her.

Beverly Wilson, 93, South Beloit
She retired from the South Beloit Post Office at age 81.

Oct. 9, 2024:
Grant Jamison, 45, Roscoe
There wasn’t a pool party or bonfire that Grant would miss.
