TamaleLand will serve lunch in the parking lot of Roscoe Village Hall from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Try a tamale (red, green, poblano w/ cheese), taco (asada, barbacoa, pastor), or quesabirria. Picnic tables and umbrellas will be available in the Village parking lot. A very fast, out and back half marathon course set up on the scenic Stone Bridge Trail in Roscoe, Illinois.  Packet pick up will be from 4 - 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 26 and Friday September 27 at the Roscoe Branch of the Stateline Family YMCA. Register by Friday, September 27 - there will be no race day registration or packet pick-up.

4:30 p.m. Food distribution every first Wednesday of the month, in Didier Hall, sponsored by The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In addition, each Thursday afternoon the church distributes perishable foods: milk, eggs, bread and some fresh fruits and/or vegetables. Higher food prices are causing real problems for many families struggling to provide these basics, especially the elderly or those on fixed incomes. [more details]
