Nature At The Confluence

Practice the art of noticing details while connecting with nature. This beginner-friendly bird outing will include an introduction to birding and guided stroll on our Rock River Birding & Hiking Trail, a one mile loop path. All experience levels are welcome. Little Science Storytime at Nature at the Confluence - Fri Aug 2 10:00 am

South Beloit Public Library

Join us on Friday mornings or Sunday afternoons for reading and activity time under our cottonwood tree. Recommended for children ages 3-5, this series will introduce our local plant and animal friends to help build nature vocabulary, as well as Spanish and American Sign Language vocabulary.
Each Friday is a new nature theme, and the theme is repeated on Sundays. Please register once for the series, and join us for as many story times as you are able.  [more details]

Hosted by the Roscoe Police and Harlem-Roscoe Fire, activities at this free community block party for the whole family include games, entertainment, food, prizes, vendors, music, and a car show.

Here For You Food Pantry - Wed Aug 7 4:30 pm

4:30 p.m. Food distribution every first Wednesday of the month, in Didier Hall, sponsored by The Society of St. Vincent de Paul. In addition, each Thursday afternoon the church distributes perishable foods: milk, eggs, bread and some fresh fruits and/or vegetables. Higher food prices are causing real problems for many families struggling to provide these basics, especially the elderly or those on fixed incomes.

Pistol Pete is well-known as one of the best guitar players in the Rockford area and he's bringing his band this time. He has played with many legends in the music industry including Buddy Guy, Junior Wells, Clarence "Gatemouth" Brown, Joe Bonamassa, Buddy Miles, Billy Cox, and Eric Gales.
