Ledges Pool is open, and it's open to new members

Ledges Pool, Roscoe IL, open again for summer 2024

The Ledges Pool is open this summer 2024 for the first time since 2022, and is still accepting membership applications. You don't need to live in The Ledges to join the Ledges Pool Association. All Stateline residents are welcome.

Financial and organizational uncertainty, plus expensive repairs, kept the pool closed in 2023. Now it's open for the season, until Labor Day.

To help prospective members "test the water," the pool is hosting a community day on June 9, 2024 from 11 a.m. -7 p.m. Anyone can swim as a guest that day for $5 per person. If they decide to join the pool association, this cost will be deducted from their annual membership fee.

The pool is open to members seven days a week all summer, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., depending on the weather.

The pool is located at 7063 McCurry Road in Roscoe IL, adjacent to the Ledges Golf Course. However, the Ledges Pool is a private membership-based community swimming pool, which the LPA leases from the Winnebago County Forest Preserves. The public golf course is managed by the Forest Preserves of Winnebago County.

Members can also book the pool for a two-hour birthday party for up to 12 young people, for $150. The price includes a "cheery lifeguard" to help host the party, plus a dozen ice cream vouchers from the concession stand.

The Ledges Pool Association will also be hosting a middle school night out and a high school teen night at the pool.

Membership fees for 2024 for the Ledges Pool Association are:

Family $550
Individual $350
Babysitter Fee $75 (sitter AND children must be present)

Any and all donations are also appreciated. Donors and sponsors will be recognized on the Community Donor Board in the pool house.

The Ledges Pool Association (LPA) says, "The LPA is dedicated to providing a family centered, community pool. Our beautiful setting is enjoyed by members from the Stateline area. We offer a variety of social events for all ages, multiple levels of swim lessons, and a recreational swim team! The Ledges staff and board is focused on maintaining a safe and relaxing atmosphere."
